Protection method one: bellows
Although corrugated pipes all look similar in appearance, they do come in many different materials. However, the wear resistance is average, and the temperature resistance can generally reach 80℃~105℃. PVC pipes are mainly used in four doors and cabs, and are mostly used for wiring harness separation.
Protection method three: industrial plastic cloth
The material of the industrial plastic sheet is polyvinyl chloride, and its appearance is a black mesh protective sheet. It is wrapped on the wire harness after being curled. Its main feature is that it has good flexibility and is easy to bend. Where the main wire harness needs to be bent, or where thicker cable branches are visible, industrial plastic sheeting has poor wear resistance and is rarely seen.
Protection method four: sponge
Sponge is also called sponge tape. Its function and usage are similar to tape. Its main feature is good noise reduction and shock absorption performance. It is mostly used in car doors and cabs where shock and noise reduction is required to eliminate abnormal noise from wiring harnesses.
Protection method five: wire harness wrapping tape
Tape is the most basic and commonly used protective material. The entire vehicle wiring harness needs to be fixed and formed by tape. The tape has good corrosion resistance, oil resistance and insulation properties. According to the different protection levels of the wire harness, the tape wrapping methods are divided into full wrapping, partial wrapping, and flower wrapping. There are also many classifications of tapes, which are generally divided into PVC tapes, high-temperature resistant PVC tapes, cloth-based tapes, flannel tapes, etc. PVC focuses on wear resistance and flame retardancy. The material has poor noise reduction performance and is cheap. Cloth tape has high temperature resistance and high wear resistance. The flannel tape has outstanding noise reduction performance and can eliminate abnormal noise.
