5. Wire design

In order to improve the stability and safety of the wire beam, we must pay attention to the selection of wire specifications, fuse specifications, and interpolations.

(1) Determination of the wire specification parameters

When determining the cross -sectional area of the wire, consider voltage drop and fever. The current strength of the electric equipment is

With the voltage allowed by the insulating wire, the cross-area of the wire can be detected by Table 18-3.

Actual voltage drop UV is obtained from the following formula

In the formula, UV is voltage (V); A is a wire diameter (mm2); ρ is copper resistivity (about 0.0185Ω · mm2/m); L is the wire length (m).

In the new car, most of the electric equipment has protection measures. However, due to its starting current characteristics, the starting motor cable does not use conventional fuse for protection. The starting motor cable is either not protected, or the high temperature separation element is protected, and the current is cut off when the critical safety point. In addition, the connection of the starter cable is particularly important, because the voltage on the cable has a more significant impact on the cold starting characteristics of the engine than the peak current and continuous current reached after the normal connection. Except for motivation, most of the other electric equipment is protected by fuse, or an electronic protection device is used in the electronic control system. When designing the size of the power supply wire, the protection method should be considered. When using a melting method, the maximum continuous current of the electric equipment should be less than 80%of the rated current of the feller.

In order to facilitate the connection and maintenance of the automotive circuit, the color of the low -voltage line of the car must meet the relevant national standards. The color regulations of monochrome and two -color lines can refer to QC/T 414-1999 "Low -voltage wire color for automobiles". The design of each system should stipulate the combination of the main color and the auxiliary color, and try to achieve the auxiliary color as much as possible. Pay attention to the same plug -in and the same line diameter. Automotive circuits are generally divided into 9 systems. The main color selection of the system can refer to Table 18-4.
