2 Aluminum wire application selection

Aluminum wire equivalent replacement must be considered as similar to the characteristics of the replaced copper wire conductivity, loading capacity, and reduction curve. 3 The problem faced

1) Electrochemical corrosion problem. Copper and aluminum are different elements. The metal inertia of copper is greater than that of aluminum, that is, the chemical activity of copper is lower than that of aluminum. In this way, the two metal connections will be electrochemically. The electrolyte is formed to form a necessary condition for chemical batteries.

Because aluminum is easy to lose electrons to become negative, it is difficult for copper to lose electrons to become a positive electrode, so a 1.69V electric momentum is formed between the positive and negative electrodes, and a small current passes, which corrodes the aluminum line, that is, the so -called electrification corrosion. This will cause poor contact between copper aluminum and increase contact resistance. When the current is over, it will increase the temperature of the joint parts, and the temperature rises accelerated the connection corrosion, increasing the contact resistance, causing a vicious circle until it is burned), resulting in the gradually oxidation of the aluminum line, reducing the mechanical strength of the aluminum line And conductivity.

2) Creep problem. The thermal expansion coefficient is different. First, look at the thermal expansion coefficient data: copper 0.0000165, aluminum 0.0000236. In the car operating environment, with the temperature of the temperature, the different thermal expansion coefficients of copper and aluminum will gradually form an empty hole, which reduces the wire connection area The electrical properties increased the contact resistance, which was heat up under power -powered, causing a vicious circle until the car was burned. 3) Electrical properties at the wire connection. The metal aluminum reacts with the oxygen in the air to generate an oxide film quickly, and this oxide film also causes an increase in resistance at the connection without further oxidation and corrosion. Because this oxide film is a adverse conductor of electricity, the connection resistance at the connection is increased, affecting the electrical signal and energy transmission of the car, causing fever at the connection.
