Bolt assisted

This locking method converts the rotation of the bolt into axial motion during the meshing process between the bolt and nut, thereby achieving connector locking. As shown in the figure, fix the nut in sheath 2 and assemble the bolt in sheath 1. By rotating the bolt, the opposite movement between sheath 1 and sheath 2 can be achieved, ultimately completing the locking of the connector.

The locking device is mainly used in the assembly of ultra multi wire connectors. The principle is that the locking force between the connectors of the device mainly comes from the reliable assembly of bolts and nuts, allowing the bolts to withstand a large torque force. Its shortcomings are precisely based on this, requiring additional assembly structures for bolts and nuts in the structure, while also adding complexity and development costs to the connector.

Thread locking only requires assembling the plug and socket in their original installation position, and by rotating the connecting ring, the protruding structure on the connecting ring moves in the circular groove to achieve connector locking. The principle is that a circular groove is designed on one end of the connector sheath, and a freely rotating connecting ring is nested on the other end sheath, and a hanging protrusion is designed on the inner side of the connecting ring.

The thread locking type is suitable for end face sealed connectors, and its characteristic is to achieve assembly assistance by converting the axial movement during connector assembly into lateral rotation.

The hanging nose buckle type can be roughly divided into three types according to the structural form of the hanging nose: two simpler and more convenient structures: the embedded hanging nose structure and the external dismantling hanging nose structure, as well as a locking device that unlocks the nose by pressing. They rely on the elastic deformation of the sheath's own hanging nose to ultimately achieve connector locking and unlocking, both of which are common locking structures. Their shortcomings are:

① The embedded nose hanging structure, without a dedicated unlocking tool, is often unlocked by the operator by pressing one end of the nose hanging with their bare hands. If the space on both sides of the connector nose is too small (see dimension L in the figure, sometimes dimension L is too small, smaller than the width of the thumb), it is inconvenient for workers to operate.

② If there is no dedicated unlocking tool during the unlocking process of the external detachable nose hanging structure, it is extremely difficult to unlock directly with bare hands and can easily cause operational accidents.

③ Compared to the two structures of the embedded and external hanging nose, the press type unlocking nose structure solves the problem of limited unlocking space for the embedded and the need for specialized unlocking tools for the external hanging nose. However, this structure has stricter requirements for the external protection of the connector, and it is essential to ensure that there are no other parts of the vehicle that collide, squeeze, or unlock the nose device, causing the connector to loosen.
